On the heels of saying "see you soon" to the southwest region's good friend, Amir Lati ("老蓝"), I'd like to extend a very warm welcome to the new Consul General of the Israeli Consulate in Chengdu, Mr Ran Peleg 潘立文! There wasn't much China-Israel business news this week, but the quality sure made up for the quantity. Just after signing a pretty good sales deal last month, ICL came back even bigger this month with a deal for additional sales in China over the next three years worth about a gajillion dollars ($870 million). Also, Tnuva didn't waste any time getting over here to (I hope) stock every single Chinese grocer's shelves with select products exported from Israel.
