On the heels of saying "see you soon" to the southwest region's good friend, Amir Lati ("老蓝"), I'd like to extend a very warm welcome to the new Consul General of the Israeli Consulate in Chengdu, Mr Ran Peleg 潘立文! There is a very nice interview in the headlines below (in Chinese - if that's a problem Chrome or a translating tool will come to the rescue); I encourage you all to read it and get to know Ran. Wishing him much success in the years ahead!</spanstyle=">
There wasn't much China-Israel business news this week, but the quality sure made up for the quantity. Just after signing a pretty good sales deal last month, ICL came back even bigger this month with a deal for additional sales in China over the next three years worth about a gajillion dollars ($870 million). Also, Tnuva didn't waste any time getting over here to (I hope) stock every single Chinese grocer's shelves with select products exported from Israel.
Enjoy the newsletter, and as always give me a shout with thoughts and questions, or just to say hello.
